Rockford Public Schools is making breakfast and lunch available for students two ways during winter break. The school district's 205 students needing meals during the break will be able to get meals one of two ways, according to a press release from Rockford Public Schools.
Packaged meals out into boxes can be picked up from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays during the break from in-person instruction.
Meals can be picked up at several locations, including: Auburn High School at 5110 Auburn Street; Eisenhower Middle School and 3525 Spring Creek Road; Flinn Middle School at 2525 Ohio Parkway; RESA Middle School at 1800 Ogilby Road; and Jefferson High School at 4145 Samuelson Road.

If you cannot pick up meals at one of the schools, buses will drop meals off at designated bus stops on Tuesdays and Fridays of winter break from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"Distribution days are ONLY Tuesday, Dec. 22, and Tuesday, Dec. 29 the week of Christmas and New Year’s Day (there’s no distribution on Christmas or New Year’s Day). Meals will only be provided at Auburn, Eisenhower, Flinn, RESA and Jefferson; meals will not be distributed at bus stops," the school wrote in the press release.
