City of Carlyle Parks Master Plan Committee Feb. 25.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order by City Administrator Andy Brackett at 6:05 p.m. via Zoom. Committee members present included Bruce Hilmes and Brandon Johnson. Melissa Kleine, Brooke Johnson, Chris Johnson, Amber King, and Heather Strader. Others present included Andrew Franke and Heather Brown from Planning Design Studio, Becky Donelly, Andy Brackett, and Martha Reinkensmeyer.

Bruce Hilmes Replacing Logan Speiser

Andy announced that Bruce Hilmes has replaced Logan Speiser as the City Council Liaison.

Master Plan Schedule Update

Andrew Franke reviewed the project schedule with those present. Dates have changed due to the interruption in the schedule caused by COVID. It is hoped the plan will be completed by the middle of August 2021.

Town Hall Meeting – Virtual Webinar

Andrew Franke and Heather Brown reviewed the results of their visit, the stakeholders’ interviews, and the community survey results with those present.

A town hall meeting will be held on March 4, 2021 via Zoom to review the results of Planning Design Studio’s visit to the parks, the stakeholders’ interviews, and the community survey results. There will be two sessions held on March 4th. The first will take place at 5 p.m. and the second at 6 p.m. The same information will be covered during both sessions, but input will be sought during both sessions from community members that attend.

Next Meeting

The next meeting will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 5 p.m. via Zoom.

Adjournment

With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
