City of Carlyle Water & Sewer Committee Met April 5.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Roll Call/Call to Order

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Kent Newkirk at 4:30 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Committee members present included Kent Newkirk, John Hodapp, and Mike Jansen. Others present included Andy Wennerstrom, Joe Behrman, Brandon Pieron, Andy Brackett, and Martha Reinkensmeyer.

FY22 Budget Review – Fund 51 (Water Production & Distribution)

After reviewing the proposed FY22 budget, John Hodapp made a motion to recommend it to Council. Mike Jansen seconded the motion. After a voiced vote, all were found in favor.

FY22 Budget Review – Fund 52 – Sewer

After reviewing the proposed FY22 budget, John Hodapp made a motion to recommend it to Council. Mike Jansen seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Old Business

Brandon stated that a lead service inventory of the town must be completed by 2024. He also stated that he will be looking into what training will be required for Water and Sewer employees to do in-house water line replacements.

New Business

Executive Session

The Committee did not enter executive session so there were no executive session items on which to vote.

With no further business to discuss, John Hodapp made a motion to adjourn. Mike Jansen seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the meeting was adjourned at 5:12 p.m.
