City of Carlyle Park/Pool Committee met Nov. 30.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
Roll Call/Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Park Committee Chairman Tammy Peters at 6:15 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Park Committee members present included Tammy Peters and John Hodapp. Shannon Petrea was absent. Pool Committee members present included Nancy Nave and Bruce Hilmes. Nicole Weh, Jason McIntosh, and Kerrick Rahm were absent. Others present included Mayor Judy Smith, Joel Laws, Ricky Huge, and Martha Reinkensmeyer.
Approval of Minutes
After reviewing the Park Committee minutes from November 22, 2021, Tammy Peters made a motion to approve the minutes and John Hodapp seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.
There were not enough Poll Committee members present to approve the minutes from the April 20, 2021, meeting.
Citizens’ for Carlyle Parks Comments
Nancy Nave stated that Citizens for Carlyle Parks will host Family Night at the City Park on December 11, 2021.
Discussion on Pool Capital Campaign
Joel stated that information on the new pool will be kept updated on the website. He reviewed the technical evaluation from Burbach Aquatics for the current pool. He also reviewed the pool concept chosen by the Pool Committee. He then explained that the next election will be held in June and the filing date to have the referendum placed on the ballot is late March. He then reviewed with those present the stipulations for the Capital Campaign Committee and the Referendum Committee.
Creation of Pool Subcommittees
Due to lack of attendance, subcommittees could not be created at this meeting. It was determined to schedule a meeting for January 5, 2022, at 6 p.m. at Case Halstead Library. Ways to advertise the meeting were discussed.
Unfinished Business
Joel stated that the sale of the truck will be on the December 13th City Council agenda. Ricky stated that he will be getting signs made for the dumpster. Snow plowing was discussed. It was determined that, should the need arise, the park would be plowed while the Christmas lights were lit. However, no snow will be hauled to the park until after the light display is over.

Adjournment
With no further business to discuss, John Hodapp made a motion to adjourn. Tammy Peters seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the meeting was adjourned at 6:58 p.m.
