Report: Harlem School District spent $13,644 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Harlem Community School District 122 was up 10.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Rockford Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Winnebago County school district spent $12,396 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,644 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 6,743 to 6,361 students over the same period.

Harlem's spending in 2019-20 was 5.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
