1. Reverend Earl Dotson recited scripture and spoke about global supply shortages affecting the US. Rev. Dotson also spoke about the need for manufacturing jobs, stating poverty leads to violence.
2. John Tac Brantley recited scripture and spoke about the lack of interest expressed by youth in Black History. Mr. Brantley commented on the success of his trip to the Underground Railroad.

A. Financial Discussion - January 2022
Director Hagerty stated that to date we have not receive any tax distributions of any of the major revenue sources. Other revenue sources are under budget year to-date primarily due to posting and timing. Both police and fire overtime budgets were over, fire was mainly due to COVID related staffing issues. For motor fuel tax, disbursements are over budget and for the redevelopment fund, hotel/motel tax continues to be under budget; packaged liquor and restaurant tax are performing quite well.

A. Award of Bid: Police Vehicle Equipment and Installation for 36 vehicles to Ultra Strobe Communications, of Crystal Lake, Illinois in the amount of $354,029.59. The funding source is Capital Lease Funds.

Assistant City Attorney Benoit stated that any individual is allowed to submit a fine reduction request whether the property is in compliance or not. The property was in the administrative code hearing process prior to the individual taking ownership. He appeared on two occasions, but failed to appear on the third time.

Ald. Logemann requested more information. Fire Chief Pankow explained there was a rotation process, once all of the ambulances are busy we use private ambulances. At that time we would use one of the companies on the list.
