City of Carlyle Finance Committee/City Council met April 25.

Call to Order/Roll Call
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Don Perez on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Committee members present included Don Perez, John Hodapp, and Jeff Taylor. Others present included Andy Wennerstrom, Tammy Peters, Scott Diekemper, Mike Jansen, Mayor Judy Smith, and Martha Reinkensmeyer.
Approval of Minutes
After reviewing the minutes from the April 11, 2022, meeting, Don Perez made a motion to approve the minutes. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.
Cabella’s King Kat Contract & Sponsorship Fee for 2023
Mayor Smith stated that this is the contract for the catfish tournament to be held in 2023. The city is splitting the fee with Clinton County. The city’s portion is $3,250.00. This amount includes TV coverage of the city and the county. Jeff Taylor made a motion to recommend that Council approve the Cabella’s King Kat contract and pay the 2023 sponsorship fee amount of $3,250.00. John Hodapp seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.
Fireworks Partnership
Peggy Hilmes has requested that the city support the 4th of July fireworks at the dam. She is asking that the city contribute $7,500.00 Jeff Taylor made a motion to recommend that Council contribute $7,500.00 to the 4th of July fireworks held at the dam. John Hodapp seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Adjournment
With no further business to discuss, John Hodapp made a motion to adjourn. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the meeting was adjourned at 6:34 p.m.
