II. GENERAL INFORMATION

I. General Information Directors Report

a. The city council has approved three board appointments and they will be voted on during the next Board meeting. If we can get two more board members we will be at full capacity, but still having difficulty due to organizations, not meeting. Want to get a pipeline of interested people to work on board with us.

i. C. Hoffman, What will this bring us up to?

1. 15 members and full board compliance.

ii. C. Hoffman, Will we bring back the policy that if you have three unexcused absences would we be asking them to step down?

1. Yes, with a person to replace them.

b. In contact with training office to schedule training during next quarter. Looking to schedule for September or October. Once we have available dates, will present them to the board.

i. C. Hoffman, we will need to be in touch with Winnebago County to see if they want to extend Dorothy Redd’s position on the board. If not should we ask them for the next appointment, before training, therefore we could have everyone trained at the same time?

c. Shirts have been approved to order and will be available for board members before August Neighborhood Improvement Initiative.

i. Getting the board back to compliance is a driving goal.

ii. We should expand the communications to get information, especially on Next door.

iii. Could we get Name tents for all board members?

1. Yes, Patrick will work on that.

b. Mike Chamberlin

i. Could we work with schools/ PTA to get our message to engaged parents?

1. Headstart has connections in the local schools. And could help engage in these conversations.

ii. We need a calendrer to have an events list so that events can be tracked easier.
