"With a roster almost completely made of first year players the learning curve has looked like a roller coaster at times.   We have played a very competitive schedule and I am hoping it will pay off in the post season. I think we are growing and getting better as a team heading into the last month of the regular season.  I look forward to more consistency and growth in our play this month." Stated Coach Kristy Pierce when she was asked about what is leading to the success of her team during this hot streak.

The Golden Eagles would defeat Southwestern Illinois College (3-0), #16 Des Moines Area Community College (3-0), Ellsworth Community College (3-1), and Iowa Lakes Community College (3-2).

With such a great showing over the weekend the Golden Eagles have propelled into the NJCAA DII National Poll for the first time in the DII era of the program. "I think it's a nice reward for our hard work and important for all our programs moving forward.  There are so many quality teams in Division 2 Volleyball and to be considered in that same company is an honor for our program." Stated Pierce
