Rockford Sun

Rock Valley Men take 3rd place in Indianapolis in the 2nd tournament of the season. The field of teams was very good at this event attracting 4 of the Top 12 ranked teams from last year and 6 of the Top 25 teams.

This tournament was bowled on a different pattern Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's pattern was 43 feet (long) with high volume (33.184 ml) with a ratio of 1.73-1 (flat). This pattern proved to be very difficult the first half of the day before opening up later in the day.  Sunday's pattern was 38 feet (short) with low volume (20.57 ml) with a ratio of 2.5-1 (fairly flat). This pattern has a very low volume of oil with today's standards.
