City of Carlyle Employee Concerns Committee met Jan. 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Call to Order/Roll Call

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bruce Hilmes on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Committee members present included Bruce Hilmes, Scott Diekemper, and Jim McClaren. Others present included Tammy Peters, John Hodapp, Mike Jansen, Mayor Judy Smith, Brad Myers, and Martha Reinkensmeyer.

Approval of Minutes

After reviewing the minutes from the June 7, 2022, meeting, Scott Diekemper made a motion to approve the minutes. Jim McClaren seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Permission to Seek Applications for Summer Hires

Brad explained that the Parks Department needs to begin the process of accepting applications for lifeguards, camp worker, umpire, and part-time maintenance employees. Scott Diekemper made a motion to allow the Parks Department to accept applications for the summer hires. Jim McClaren seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

There were no public comments.

Executive Session

The Committee did not enter executive session.

Adjournment

With no further business to discuss, Scott Diekemper made a motion to adjourn. Jim McClaren seconded the motion. Finding all in the favor, the meeting adjourned at 6:34 p.m.
