Village of Pecatonica Public Works Committee met Feb. 6.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
1. Call to Order- The meeting was called to order by Committee Chairman Tom Gipe at 6:30 pm on Monday, February 6, 2023.
2. Roll call – Chairman Tom Gipe, and Village Trustee Bill Determan were present. Trustee Gerald Howard was absent.
Also in attendance was Village President Tom Heister.
3. Additions/Corrections to the Agenda- Add #8 Traffic issues at 3rd and Main and 4th and Main. 4. Approve the Agenda as Amended
A motion was made by Trustee Determan and seconded by Chairman Gipe to approve the agenda as amended. Discussion. A roll call vote was taken. All in favor. Motion approved 2-0-1.
5. Public Comment- None
6. Approve the January 19, 2023 Minutes
A motion was made by Trustee Determan and seconded by Chairman Gipe to approve the January 19, 2023 meeting minutes. Discussion. A roll call vote was taken. All in favor. Motion approved 2-0-1.
7. Discuss Sidewalk Replacement Program for the Village –
The committee reviewed the Sidewalk Replacement Programs that Trustee Determan drew up. Discussion. The committee discussed items to be added to the program (such as width and depth regulations, creating a list of preferred contractors, tear out and possible backfill provided by the Public Works Department). We will continue this discussion at upcoming meetings.
8. Discussion of Traffic Issues 3rd & Main and 4th & Main
The committee discussed the issues of crossing Main Street at 3rd and 4th Streets. They discussed adding no parking signs and yellow paint on curb 20 feet from the corner at all intersections. The committee also discussed Cross walks being addressed at upcoming meetings as well. Discussion will continue at upcoming committee meetings.

10. Adjourn
A motion was made by Trustee Determan and seconded by Chairman Gipe to adjourn the meeting. All in favor meeting adjourned at 7:51pm
