Belvidere Community Unit School District 100 Board of Education met March 13.

The Board of Education of Community Unit School District #100, Boone, McHenry, DeKalb Counties, Illinois met in a special meeting March 13, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the Belvidere North High School Forum Room, located at 9393 Beloit Road, Belvidere, Illinois, which is within the boundaries of said District.

A. Opening Items

1. Call to Order:

The President called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m.

2. Pledge of Allegiance

3. Roll Call:

Members present were Mr. Bucher, Mr. Herrera, Mrs. Houk, Ms. Maville, Mrs. Reid-Niemiec, Mrs. Whitcomb, and Mr. Zickert.

B. Superintendent’s Comments

Dr. Schug presented the community with a School District Update to include the following:

• Strategic Plan

• Early Childhood

C. Hearing of Visitors

President Reid-Niemiec opened the floor to community members to address the board on questions, concerns, and comments regarding District 100.

D. Board Discussion

President Reid-Niemiec opened the floor to community members for general discussion regarding District 100.

E. Adjournment

Having no further business to conduct, Member Herrera made a motion and Member Zickert seconded the motion to adjourn. The President called the question, and the motion passed on a voice vote.

The meeting adjourned at 6:59 p.m.
