City of Carlyle Employee Concerns Committee met Sept. 25.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Call to Order/Roll Call

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jim McClaren on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 6:19 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Committee members present included Jim McClaren, Tammy Peters, and Bruce Hilmes. Others present included Mayor Judy Smith, Brad Myers, Scott Diekemper, Mike Jansen, Jeremy Weh and Rita Jurgensmeyer.

Approval of Minutes

A motion was made by Alderman Tammy Peters and seconded by Alderman Bruce Hilmes to approve the minutes from the April 24, 2023, minutes. The motion was approved by voice vote.

Pay Raises for Park Department Employees

See Executive Session.

Public Comments

There were no public comments.

Executive Session

At 6:20 p.m. a motion to go into executive session to discuss park department employees wage increase was made by Alderman Bruce Hilmes. The motion was seconded by Alderman Tammy Peters and was approved by voice vote. At 6:21 p.m. the committee returned to regular session. Alderman Bruce Hilmes made a motion to send to the Finance Committee the proposed park department wage increases at $1.00/hour for Jeff Miller, Tom Schubert, and Ryan Meyer retroactive to the time when the last pay raise was due. Alderman Tammy Peters seconded the motion and it was approved by voice vote.

Adjournment

At 6:22 p.m. a motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Bruce Hilmes. The motion was seconded by Alderman Tammy Peters and was approved by voice vote.
