Village of Rockton Budget & Finance Committee met Nov. 7.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Chairman Winters called the regular meeting of the Budget & Finance Committee to order at 6:30 pm. Members present: Mayor Peterson, Scott Danielson, Jodi May, Michelle Prather and Dave Winters Staff present: Dan Barber & Chief Hollinger

Absent: Dennis Hildebrandt

Motion by Mr. Danielson, second by Ms. May, to waive the reading of and approve the minutes of October 17, 2023. All ayes. Motion approved 3-0.

PUBLIC COMMENT

None.

SPECIAL WARRANT CONSIDERATIONS

None.

RECOMMENDATION OF PAYMENT

Bills were reviewed and recommended for approval in the amount of $616,856.55.

MAYOR PETERSON

None.

VILLAGE TREASURER, DENNIS HILDEBRANDT

Ms. Prather advised the Committee that someone from Siepert called her and advised that Mr. Hildebrandt would not be in attendance this evening for the meeting. Mr. Winters commented that hopefully there is enough money to cover the bills.

DAVE WINTERS, CHAIRMAN

Mr. Winters stated that Ordinance 2023-24: An Ordinance Authorizing the Execution of the IMLRMA Minimum/Maximum Contribution Agreement is up for approval at the Village Board meeting later in the evening. The Committee was okay with this. Ms. Prather provided claims data to the Committee and recommended that the Village always budget the difference between the minimum and maximum (which is approximately $50,000 for 2023). Ms. Prather added that the Village should be receiving quarterly updates from IMLRMA and that a representative from IMLRMA should meet with the Village every February to review the agreement.
