City of Carlyle Employee Concerns Committee met April 30.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Call to Order/Roll Call

The meeting was called to order by Water Committee Chairman Scott Diekemper on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Water Committee members present included Scott Diekemper, Mike Jansen, and Jeremy Weh (arrived at 5:36 p.m.). Employee Concerns Committee members present included Tammy Peters and Bruce Hilmes. Chairman Jim McClaren was absent. Others present included Brandon Pieron, Brad Myers, Mayor Judy Smith, and Rita Jurgensmeyer.

Approval of Minutes

Alderman Bruce Hilmes made a motion to approve the minutes from the Employee Concerns Committee meeting on March 20, 2024. The motion was seconded by Alderman Tammy Peters and approved by voice vote. Alderman Mike Jansen made a motion to approve the minutes from the Water and Sewer Committee meeting on April 17, 2024. Alderman Scott Diekemper seconded the motion, and it was approved by voice vote.

Executive Session

At 5:36 p.m. a motion to go into executive session to Review Applications for MWII Position - 5ILCS 120/2(c)(1) and Review Interview Questions for MWII Interviews - 5ILCS 120/2(c)(1) was made by Alderman Mike Jansen. The motion was seconded by Alderman Bruce Hilmes and was approved by voice vote. Brandon Pieron left the meeting at 5:59 p.m. At 6:27 p.m. the committee returned to regular session.

Adjournment

At 6:27 p.m. a motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Mike Jansen. The motion was seconded by Alderman Scott Diekemper and was approved by voice vote.
