IV. OFFICERS REPORTS
A. Alderman Rose
Alderman Rose shared his personal feelings regarding the fighting taking place between Palestine and Israel and he explained why he was in support of a Ceasefire Resolution.
B. Alderman Bonne
Alderman Bonne commended Mayor McNamara for his efforts to provide a proclamation that represented peace and healing for residents with ties to both Palestine and Israel.
C. Alderman Hoffman
Alderman Hoffman thanked Mayor McNamara for his proclamation and she stated it was well done.
D. Alderman Bailey
Alderman Bailey announced the West Gateway Coalition was holding a panel discussion regarding solar energy on Tuesday, May 29, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Police District 1. He invited citizens to attend the discussion.
E. Mayor McNamara
Mayor McNamara reported he, along with Chief Redd and Jennifer Cacciapaglia, was hosting Public Safety Town Hall meetings. He shared they have already conducted two meetings and a third meeting was scheduled for June 5, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. at Crusader Community Health located at 1200 W. State Street.
Alderman Hoffman mentioned she attended one of the Town Hall meetings andshared it was very informative. She encouraged the council members to maketime to attend one of the meetings.

1. Motion to Adjourn
Alderman Tuneberg moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by AldermanWilkins. MOTION PREVAILED with a unanimous voice vote (AldermanDurkee was absent). The meeting was adjourned at 8:48 p.m.
