Village of Rockton Budget & Finance Committee met June 4.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Chairman Winters called the regular meeting of the Budget & Finance Committee to order at 6:30 pm.

Members present: Mayor Peterson, Sally Bennett, Scott Danielson, Connie Kieffer, Jodi May and Dave Winters

Staff present: Dan Barber, Tricia Diduch, Arianne Honkamp (6:45 pm) and Chief Hollinger

Motion by Ms. May, second by Mr. Danielson, to waive the reading of and approve the minutes of May 21, 2024. All ayes. Motion approved 3-0.

PUBLIC COMMENT

None.

SPECIAL WARRANT CONSIDERATIONS

None.

RECOMMENDATION OF PAYMENT

Bills were reviewed and recommended for approval in the amount of $233,557.25.

MAYOR PETERSON

Mayor Peterson discussed the changes/updates to the 2024-2025 budget with the Committee.

VILLAGE TREASURER, SALLY BENNETT

Mrs. Bennett advised the Committee that she received the first installment of property taxes in the amount of $225,000.

Mrs. Bennett stated that she received the credit card machines for the pool and concession stands at the athletic complex and that they are working great. Mrs. Bennett said that the money from the credit card machines is being deposited into the Illinois funds and earning 5.5% interest.

None.

VILLAGE COLLECTOR

Ms. Kieffer wanted the Committee to be aware that bills are still coming in from the previous fiscal year and that the Committee will be seeing a few different reports.

None.

ADJOURN

Motion by Ms. May, second by Mr. Danielson, to adjourn at 6:56 pm.
