Village of Rockton Budget & Finance Committee met Sept. 17,

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Chairman Winters called the regular meeting of the Budget & Finance Committee to order at 6:30 pm.

Members present: Sally Bennett, Connie Kieffer, Jodi May and Dave Winters

Staff present: Dan Barber, Dan Baumgartner (6:34 pm), Tricia Diduch, Arianne Honkamp, Deputy Chief Jobst and Justin York

Absent: Mayor Peterson & Scott Danielson

Also present: Sarah Doerflinger

Motion by Ms. May, second by Mr. Winters, to waive the reading of and approve the minutes of September 3, 2024. All ayes. Motion approved 2-0.

PUBLIC COMMENT

None.

SPECIAL WARRANT CONSIDERATIONS

None.

RECOMMENDATION OF PAYMENT

Bills were reviewed and recommended for approval in the amount of $189,150.17.

MAYOR PETERSON

None.

VILLAGE TREASURER, SALLY BENNETT

Mrs. Bennett advised the Committee that she completed the financials for August. Mrs. Bennett stated that she provided everyone with a Village revenue sheet and that sales tax is up. Mrs. Bennett also reviewed the financial report with the Committee.

Mrs. Bennett added that she is meeting with Don Elliott this Thursday to go over some things for the upcoming audit.

VILLAGE COLLECTOR

Ms. Kieffer stated that she learned some new things while she was at the Civic training for a few days with Mrs. Bennett.

Ms. Kieffer said that the liquor license for Cheddar’s is up for approval at the Village Board meeting later in the evening.

Ms. Kieffer added that she and Mrs. Bennett balanced the revenue for liquor license applications and that she will have a gaming/vending spreadsheet at the next meeting for everyone to review.

None.
