The Winnebago-Boone Farm Bureau has awarded the 2024 Friend of Agriculture Award to State Representative Joe Sosnowski. The presentation took place at the Farm Bureau office on South Meridian Road.
This award acknowledges state and federal legislators who recognize the significance of Illinois agriculture. It is given to those who understand the benefits of agricultural products from Illinois and the role farmers play in providing essential resources like food, fiber, and fuel.
"Farmers and farm families in Boone and Winnebago Counties are the backbone of Illinois’ agricultural economy," stated Representative Sosnowski. "It is truly a privilege to advocate for them at the state level. I would like to express my appreciation to the members and leadership of the Winnebago-Boone Farm Bureau for this award in recognition of my voting record in support of Illinois’ agricultural industry."
Representative Sosnowski represents the 69th District, which includes parts of Winnebago and Boone Counties.
