FOIA Request to Loves Park City Council Regarding Detailed Information on Council Members on October 15, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Rockford Sun have submitted a request under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140) to the Loves Park City Council.
Our request seeks access to records containing detailed information about all council members. Specifically, we are looking for data that includes each member's name, title, year of appointment, term length (2 or 4 years), and term expiration date.
We believe that access to this public record is crucial in fulfilling our professional responsibilities which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
