City of Carlyle Finance Committee met Oct. 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Call to Order/Roll Call

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jeremy Weh on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 6th Street, Carlyle, IL 62231. Committee members present included Jeremy Weh, John Hodapp, and Jeff Taylor. Others present included Jim McClaren, Tammy Peters, Scott Diekemper, Bruce Hilmes, Mike Jansen, Bo Thomas, Brad Myers, Chief Mark Pingsterhaus, Rita Jurgensmeyer, Mayor Judy Smith, and Martha Reinkensmeyer.

Approval of Minutes

After reviewing the minutes from the September 23, 2024, meeting, John Hodapp made a motion to to approve the minutes. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Approval of Claims

John Hodapp made a motion to approve the payment of the claims. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Audit

Bo Thomas reviewed the findings of the FY 2024 audit with the committee. Jeremy Weh then made a motion to send the FY 2024 audit to council for approval. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

Fireworks Quote

Brad stated that a quote for the fireworks to be held after the Christmas parade was received from J & M Displays. The quote is $6,500.00. Jeff Taylor made a motion to send the quote from J & M Displays for the Christmas fireworks for $6,500.00 to council for approval. John Hodapp seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

There were no public comments.

Adjournment

With no further business to discuss, John Hodapp made a motion to adjourn. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the meeting adjourned at 6:48 p.m.
