City of Loves Park City Council met Dec. 16.

3. City staff will be ringing the Salvation Army bell at the Loves Park Schnucks on December 20, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

4. City offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25, 2024 for the Christmas holiday. City offices will reopen on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

5. Garbage pick-up for Christmas week will be on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

6. City offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 and Wednesday, January 1, 2025. City offices will reopen on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

7. Garbage pick-up for the week of New Years will be on Saturday, January 4, 2025.

16. A Resolution authorizing the appropriation of Motor Fuel Tax funds in the amount of $565,000.00 for the purpose of maintaining streets and highways for the year 2025.

17. A Resolution authorizing the City Treasurer to hire Andrew Quintanilla for the position of Treasurer's office Clerk/police pension administrator, effective January 2, 2025.

18. A Resolution authorizing the City Treasurer to open a depository account with Rockford Community Bank/St. Charles Bank and Trust Co.

19. A Resolution authorizing the Police Chief to hire Zachary Clark as a Police Officer to fill a vacant position within the Loves Park Police Dept., to be effective December 26, 2024.

20. A Resolution authorizing the Mayor to accept the Transfer of Real Property.

21. A Resolution authorizing the City of Loves Park to renew the city's employee health insurance plan with Northern Illinois Health Plan and Excess Re-Insurance to act as reinsurance carrier.
