State Senator Dave Syverson spent the weekend attending two community events in his district. On Saturday, he was present at the Rhythm of the Heart Music Festival in Loves Park, where families gathered for live music. Syverson expressed appreciation for those involved in organizing the event.
“These events showcase the strength and spirit of our communities,” Syverson said. “It’s always great to visit with families and support the organizations that make northern Illinois a great place to live.”
Syverson also acknowledged Mayor Jury, city staff, and volunteers for their efforts in making the festival a successful event for residents.
On Sunday, Syverson attended the North Boone District #3 Firefighter’s Association’s 50th Anniversary Chicken BBQ Fundraiser. The annual event served more than 2,000 pounds of chicken and raises funds to support local firefighters.
Syverson has represented Illinois’ 35th Senate District since 1993 after being elected as a Republican to replace Christine J. Johnson.
