The owner of the subject property has requested annexation to the City of Rockford. The owner has signed an annexation agreement.
2. Request for an Honorary Street Name Change - Island Avenue (Central Avenue to Clifton Avenue)
Request for an Honorary Street Name Change renaming a portion of Island Avenue from Central Avenue to Clifton Avenue to “Rev. E.H.E. Gilbert Way” in honor of Reverend Dr. Eldridge H.E. Gilbert former Pastor of Pilgrim Baptist Church. The church is located at 1703 South Central Avenue.
