Loves Park ranked 97th in state in lottery ticket sales

The city of Loves Park had the 97th highest lottery ticket net sales statewide per capita for the month of April 2016 -- up 16 spots from its March ranking.

The per capita lottery ticket sales in Loves Park was $35.27 per person.

Based on monthly sales records obtained by the Rockford Sun, Loves Park generated $827,216.50 in net sales from its 33 lottery retailers in April 2016, compared to $879,292.50 in April 2015.


The city of Loves Park is in Boone County, and has a population of 23,455, according to 2010 census data. Neighboring municipalities are Machesney Park and Rockford.

Average sales for municipalities in the region in April 2016 was $24,402.16.
