Rep. Joe Sosnowski (R-Rockford) joined the Rockford community recently to welcome Aunt Martha’s new Rockford Community Center at Swedish American Hospital, according to a press release.
The center is the result of a partnership between the Aunt Martha’s volunteer organization and Swedish American Health System and will provide care for uninsured children, teens and families -- meaning those who once had to rely on emergency services can now turn to the center instead.
“Aunt Martha’s continues to set a remarkable example of what it means to treat more than just symptoms; but to help men, women, and children of all ages live healthy active lifestyles,” Sosnowski posted on his Facebook page. “The partnership between Swedish American Hospital and Aunt Martha’s will have countless benefits for our community.”
The center will specialize in primary care for adults, mental health, women’s health, dental health and family planning.
