Cherry Fire Department responded to eight calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the Rockford Sun.
The calls in Cherry included eight fires - four structure fires, three vehicle fires and one other fire.
The calls resulted in one civilian non-fire injury and one civilian non-fire death.
