Analysis: Roscoe pays $3.11 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Roscoe Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 75.7 percent of the $309,581 the Roscoe Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.11 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Roscoe contributed $234,355 to the fund, which saw a $15,390 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $75,226, or 24.3 percent, in 2016.
