Boone County Fire Department #2 responded to 118 calls in 2017 - 0.9 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Boone County #2 included 65 fires - 32 structure fires, 16 vehicle fires and 17 other fires. The fire department also responded to three calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $1,063,320 in fire loss - or about $16,359 per fire.

The department also received 50 false calls.

One fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.

The Boone County Fire Department #2 had an annual budget of $828,775 in 2017.
