Loves Park Police Department issued the following announcement on Nov. 22.
The Loves Park Police Department presented Mercyhealth MD-1 Physicians Dr. Pakiela and Dr. Smentana, each with a gift recognizing their 3 year anniversary. MD-1 are Doctors who respond to medical emergencies, in the field, at the same time that officers and paramedics are responding. They provide pre-hospital care to patients and assist first responders with stabilizing patients for transport.
Officer Greg Kindred presented each Physician with a framed Illinois Blue Line Print, signed by every member of the police department, and an edible arrangement. The MD-1 Doctors have been an invaluable resource to our police officers and we truly appreciate their partnership. Thank you to Officer Kindred for organizing this and thank you to Dr. Pakiela and Dr. Smentana for your wonderful service to the Loves Park Community.
