Report: 14.4% of Rock Valley College students repaying loans are in default

Out of 554 Rock Valley College students repaying loans in 2015, 80 were in default, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

That gives the two-year public school in Rockford a default rate of 14.4 percent for that year – 1 percentage points lower than in 2014 and 2.2 points lower than in 2013.

Rock Valley College had 21 fewer students in default in 2015 than in 2014 and 20 fewer than in 2013.
