Republican Gary Caruana's election campaign committee, Caruana for Winnebago County Sheriff, spent $14,204 in the third quarter, according to committee expenditure records obtained from the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

Caruana's committee spent the most on golf outings in the quarter, with all those payments ($4,542) going to Swanhills Golf Course in Belvidere. Table 1 below shows the distribution of how Caruana's committee spent its money in the third quarter.
