SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on April 4.
SwedishAmerican was proud to be represented at the Illinois Health and Hospital Association’s Fourth Annual Quality Advocacy Showcase in Springfield on April 3.
The annual showcase brings together hospital and health system leaders and staff with legislators to underscore the role of Illinois’ hospital community in advancing care while reducing costs. SwedishAmerican submitted two presentations for the event, each describing quality improvement initiatives and outlining the benefits to patients, families and the health system.
“We are proud of the continuous improvements we are making every day here at SwedishAmerican,” said Diana Kolb, SwedishAmerican Director of Quality and Safety Accreditation. “It was an honor to share our progress with two presentations at the state capital for IHA Quality Advocacy Day.”
SwedishAmerican Infection Prevention Specialist Jason Harris gave a presentation on Steramist, which targets reducing infections in the hospital. Ann Gantzer, SwedishAmerican Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer, also gave a presentation on the Mobile Integrated Health program.
