MERCY ROCKFORD HEALTH SYSTEM: Mercyhealth Named Top Place to Work in Healthcare

Mercy Rockford Health System issued the following announcement on May 23.

Mercyhealth is pleased to announce it has been named a “150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare 2019” by Becker’s Healthcare. This list highlights hospitals, health systems and healthcare companies that promote diversity within the workforce, employee engagement and professional growth.

With more than 8,000 employee partners and 850 employed physicians, Mercyhealth aims to foster a workplace that promotes employee engagement, empowerment and growth. Mercyhealth provides its employees with, comprehensive benefits, including tuition assistance, adoption assistance, employee discounts for massages and an option to work a reduced workload post-retirement to retain key benefits. Mercyhealth earned recognition as No. 1 on the AARP Best Employers for Workers Over 50 list, as well as among Working Mother magazine’s Best Companies for Working Mothers. Mercyhealth is committed to recognizing its diverse workforce and regularly highlighted a different diverse group on a monthly basis, holding events and publishing educational pieces.
