July-Dec. 2018 Recap: Parolees in Rockford convicted of crimes against children

There were two offenders convicted of crimes against children released on parole in Rockford during the second half of 2018, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Rockford Sun.

The data shows that a man and woman were released in Rockford. The younger parolee was a 36-year-old woman sentenced in 2017. The other was a 38-year-old man sentenced in 2007.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Noel Ramos. He was convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2007 when he was 26 years old. He is now 38.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders during the second half of 2018 who were convicted of crimes against children.
