The data shows that 26 men and seven women were released in the Belvidere zip code. The median age of the parolees was 37. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man convicted of a crime against a person in 2018, and the oldest was a 53-year-old man convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2015.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Seth Soltow. He was convicted of a sex crime in 2010, when he was 19 years old. He is now 28.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
