The data shows that 27 men and two women were released in the Machesney Park zip code. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2018, and the oldest was a 51-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Anthony Jefferson. He was convicted of homicide in 1999, when he was 26 years old. He is now 47.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
