Q4 2018 Recap: Parolees in Winnebago County convicted of cyber crimes

There was an offender convicted of a cyber crime released on parole in Winnebago County during the fourth quarter of 2018, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Rockford Sun.

The data shows that the released offender was a man. He was convicted in 2018 when he was 40 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of cyber crimes were paroled during the fourth quarter of 2018 in each Illinois county.
