SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Aug. 15.
SwedishAmerican is pleased to welcome new nurse practitioner Christine Krause to the Creekside Clinic (3505 N. Bell School Road, Rockford). Krause will be one of the first providers practicing in the brand new medical center when it opens on August 26.
A native of Evanston, Christine is dual certified as both a pediatric nurse practitioner and a family nurse practitioner. She received her medical degrees from University of Iowa, DePaul University and Saint Anthony College of Nursing.
Christine began her career 19 years ago at the Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Her medical interests include allergies, child/adolescent health, dermatology/skin disorders, disease prevention and pediatric care.
“My philosophy of care is to be a child advocate collaborating with families, caregivers and other health professionals in order to promote a health pathway for their future,” Christine said.
Christine has had work published in The Nurse Practitioner and is very active in the community, having volunteered for Boone County Health Department, Discovery Center, American Lung Association, Carpenters Place and American Academy of Pediatrics.
