SWEDISHAMERICAN HOSPITAL: SwedishAmerican Celebrates Opening of New Creekside Medical Center with Ribbon-Cutting

Ribbon

SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Aug. 22.

SwedishAmerican, a division of UW Health, celebrated the opening of its brand new Creekside Medical Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday.

Leadership from SwedishAmerican, the City of Rockford and the Rockford Chamber of Commerce joined the staff from the Creekside Medical Center for the ceremonial event. The $24 million facility at 3505 N. Bell School Road opens its doors to its first patients on August 26.

Located adjacent to SwedishAmerican’s Regional Cancer Center, Creekside is a four-story facility that will house 30 providers and 100 clinic rooms. In addition to specializing in OB/GYN, pediatrics, family practice, dermatology and internal medicine, Creekside will serve as a convenient location for UW Health pediatric specialists who travel from Madison for appointments in Rockford with SwedishAmerican patients.

“SwedishAmerican is proud to offer expanded services to our patients with the opening of the Creekside Medical Center,” said SwedishAmerican President and CEO Dr. Michael Born. “Creekside represents the largest medical group clinic that SwedishAmerican has opened to date. It’s a state-of-the-art facility designed specifically to provide an improved experience for both our patients and our providers.”

All providers and patients from Woodside Clinic (3775 N. Mulford Road) and Rock Valley Clinic (6861 Villagreen View) will move to Creekside. There are an additional seven providers from other clinics in the health system transferring to the new facility.

The transfers will take place in two stages to avoid disruption of patient care. The following providers will begin seeing their patients at Creekside on August 26:

Andrew Geddes, MD

William Renk, MD

Srivani Sridhar, MD

Tiffanie Ferry, MD

“We are all very excited to make the move to the Creekside Medical Center,” said Dr. Srivani Sridhar, who was one of five speakers at the ribbon-cutting event. “This facility was designed to conveniently serve entire families in one location, and we are eager to start seeing our patients here.”
