Webp police 04

Rockford Police Department issued the following announcement on Sept. 5.

On Thursday, September 5, 2019 at approximately 1:30 p.m., Rockford Police Patrol Officers responded to a shots fired call in the 2200 block of Shelly Drive. Upon arrival, officers located a 22-year-old male victim suffering from a graze wound. He declined medical attention. Officers learned the victim was with two other males in the backyard when two suspects fired shots at them after running through the residence. The suspects also took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a burgundy, four-door SUV. The incident does not appear to be random.

Anyone with information should contact #RockfordPolice at 815-966-2900 or leave an anonymous tip with Rockford Area CrimeStoppers at 815-963-7867.
