Legal Director Nicholas Meyer called the meeting to order at 7:36 p.m.
Alderman Hervey moved to nominate Alderman Frost to serve as Mayor Pro Tem for this meeting. Alderman Chiarelli seconded the motion. MOTION PREVAILED with a unanimous voice vote (Aldermen Beck and McNeely were absent).

Replacement to Stenstrom Excavation, of Rockford, Illinois in the amount of $489,876.10. The completion date is October 18, 2019. The funding source is Water Replacement Improvement Account (WRIA).
Mayor Pro Tem Frost read in the resolution. Alderman Hervey, on behalf of the Finance and Personnel Committee, placed the resolution up for passage.

III. OFFICERS REPORTS
A. Alderman Hervey
Alderman Hervey announced the next Fifth Ward meeting would take place on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the District 1 Police Station.
B. Alderman Beach
Alderman Beach submitted a letter he received from a constituent about the professionalism of the city staff that worked to resolve an issue they were experiencing.
C. Alderman Hoffman
Alderman Hoffman distributed a flyer for the free AAUW Work Smart Workshop for Women that would be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Katie's Cup.
