Mercy Rockford Health System issued the following announcement on Sept. 20.
Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Dr. Stephanie Okwudi to the Anesthesiology staff of Javon Bea Hospital–Riverside and Rockton, Rockford.
Dr. Okwudi strives to be a caring patient advocate. “My philosophy of care focus is communication and compassion. I treat my patients the same way I would want to be treated. I practice open communication and walking my patients through what their procedure will entail. I am an advocate for my patients at some of the most difficult times of their lives. I am focused, compassionate and I love what I do as an anesthesiologist.”
Dr. Okwudi earned her medical degree at the Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, and completed her residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha. His special interests include acute pain management, regional blocks, and making patients as comfortable as possible.
