PUBLIC COMMENT:

TREASURER’S REPORT: September 2019 Report by Treasurer Karen Melloch.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT: JIM E. CLAEYSSEN.

1. Village Board discussion and a possible motion regarding the construction of a storage shed located at 117 N. Salem Street, Cherry Valley, IL 61016.

ATTORNEY'S REPORT: JIM STEVENS.

ENGINEER'S REPORT: DENNIS McMULLEN, C.E.S.

EX-OFFICIO’S REPORTS:

JEFF FUSTIN – PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION.

DAVE SCHROEDER - RECREATION BOARD.

ORDINANCE REPORT BY TRUSTEE: NANCY BELT.

FINANCE REPORT BY TRUSTEE: JEFF O’HARA.

1. Village Board discussion and a motion that the Village Board approve the changes to the village’s Investment Policy.

PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT BY TRUSTEE: JEFF FUSTIN.

1. Motion that the Village Board approve an Intergovernmental Agreement for a Traffic Enforcements Grant with the Illinois Department of Transportation. (This is a yearly renewal grant with IDOT).

PUBLIC WORKS REPORT BY TRUSTEE: STEPHEN APPELL.

1. Village Board discussion and a motion that the Village Board award the bid for the South Ulster Street Drainage Project to N-Trak Group LLC as the lowest responsible bidder at a cost of $99,667.60 from line 5390 Capital Improvements.

2. Village Board discussion and a motion that the Village Board approve two (2) new Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) for the traffic signals located at the intersections of Harrison Ave. and South Mall Drive and Charles Street and South Mall Drive at a cost not to exceed $17,996.00 from line item 5375 Capital Improvements.

3. Village Board discussion and a motion that the Village Board approve the Stenstrom Excavation and Blacktop Group to replace two (2) fire hydrants located outside of the CherryVale Mall (one near the Goodyear Tire Store and one near Choice Furniture) at a cost of $13,625.00 from line item 5145 Water.

4. Village Board discussion and a motion that the Village Board approve hiring Tree Care Enterprises Inc. to remove trees along the west property line at the Old Cherry Valley Elementary School Site at a cost of $3,000.00 from line item 5170 Streets.

5. Village Board discussion regarding five (5) Public Works Employees participation in the Bi-Annual Snow Plow Rodeo at the Six Flags/Magic Waters parking lot on October 11, 2019. This is a free event.

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REPORT BY TRUSTEE: DAVID SCHROEDER.

1. Motion that the Village Board approve a permit for a roof over an existing deck for the property located at 6633 Riddelle Lane, Rockford, IL 61109.

PERSONNEL REPORT BY TRUSTEE: SALLY HOLLEMBEAK.

1. Motion that the Village Board approve the health and dental insurance plans for the upcoming enrollment period of 2019-2020 for the Village of Cherry Valley.

2. Motion that the Village Board approve/acknowledge that the village’s agreement with Envision Health Care (a Third-Party Administration Service) remains in place for the year 2020 for insurance deductibles with a cost of $6.00 per month per employee/retiree.

3. Motion that the Village Board approve an additional 100 hours for part-time Public Works Employee Mr. Greg Allton.

4. Motion that the Village Board hire Ms. Maureen Gumowski for the position of Village Treasurer at a starting salary of $77,000.00/year with a starting date of October 21, 2019.
