MERCY ROCKFORD HEALTH SYSTEM: Mercyhealth Welcomes Adult and Pediatric Neurosurgeon

Mercy Rockford Health System issued the following announcement on Oct. 23.

Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Dr. Muhammad Janjua to the Neurosurgery staff of Javon Bea Hospital and Physician Clinic–Riverside, 8201 E. Riverside Blvd., Rockford.

Dr. Janjua offers his adult and pediatric patients whole-person care. “I care about how my patients holistically perceive their acute and chronic neurological ailments. I do my best to practice a systemic approach to offer the best possible care and timely recovery for my patients’ brain and spinal pathologies. I am honored to become part of the Mercyhealth team of dedicated physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff.”

Dr. Janjua earned his medical degree at King Edward Medical University, Pakistan, and served his residency at Shifa International Hospital, Pakistan. He has also completed six neurosurgical fellowships:

Arkansas Neuroscience Institute, Little Rock

Pediatric Neurosurgery fellowships:

Weill Cornell Medical College-New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York

UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas

University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia

Neurosurgery Pediatric Spine fellowship:

Shriners Hospitals for Children, Philadelphia

His special interests include:
