SWEDISHAMERICAN HOSPITAL: SwedishAmerican Riverwest Clinic Celebrates Halloween with Trunk-or-Treat Event

Halloween

SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Nov. 1.

SwedishAmerican was pleased to host its first trunk-or-treat event on Halloween this year at the Riverwest Clinic at 815 Marchesano Drive.

More than 1,000 children attended the celebration, which featured the clinic doors each decorated in different themes. Guests were treated to candy, popcorn and hot cocoa, and there were also appearances from the Rockford Fire Department, SAM the mascot, WREX-13 and 97-ZOK.

“We wanted to offer this event to children in the southwest neighborhood of Rockford as a safe place to go trick-or-treating on Halloween,” said Angelica Aranda, manager at Riverwest Clinic. “It was very gratifying to see such a great turnout. We are happy to see that the people in this community are just as excited as we are to have the Riverwest Clinic here.”

The $4.1 million clinic opened its doors to patients earlier this year in January. Riverwest features primary care, obstetrics, lab and imaging services. The multispecialty clinic sits on 1.25 acres, covers a total of 8,000 square feet and is located near Providence Baptist Church and Rockford Fire Department Station 3 in southwest Rockford.
