Mercy Rockford Health System issued the following announcement on Dec. 5.
Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Dr. Bob Tiballi to the Internal Medicine physician staff of Mercyhealth Mulford, 5970 Churchview Dr., Rockford; the Infectious Diseases physician staff at Mercyhealth Physician Clinic–Riverside, 8201 E. Riverside Dr., Rockford; and the faculty of the Mercyhealth Internal Medicine Residency Program, 8201 E. Riverside Dr., Rockford.
After earning his medical degree at the New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury, Long Island, NY, Dr. Tiballi served his Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at the Medical Center of Delaware (Christiana Care), A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children, Wilmington, DE, and Thomas Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. Dr. Tiballi also completed an Adult Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor. His special interests include:
Lyme disease
Complicated cases of fungal, mycobacterial and bone and joint infections
Infections people acquire from animals
Evaluation of patients with fever of undetermined origin
Maternal-fetal infections
Tropical medicine evaluations
Parasitology
