City of Rockford issued the following announcement on Dec. 13.
Mayor McNamara visited Tyson and Billy Architects, P.C. this morning to help the business celebrate its 100th anniversary.
The business - which works mostly on multi-family and senior housing, retail, industrial, community/recreational facilities, municipal, education, ecclesiastical and interior design projects - was founded in Rockford by Jesse Barloga in 1919. In 2016, Tyson and Billy Architects acquired Bradley & Bradley Architects, which was founded in Rockford in 1887 and is one of the oldest architecture firms in the state.
