Village of Rockton Budget & Finance Committee met Sept. 17.

Chairman Peterson called the regular meeting of the Budget & Finance Committee to order at 6:30 pm. Members present: Mayor Adams, Scott Fridly, Corine Hughes, John Peterson, Jaye Quimby and Dave Winters Also present: Dan Barber & Jodi May
Motion by Mr. Fridly, second by Mr. Winters, to waive the reading of and approve the amended minutes of September 3, 2019. All ayes. Motion approved 3-0.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
SPECIAL WARRANT CONSIDERATIONS
None.
RECOMMENDATION OF PAYMENT
Bills were reviewed and recommended for approval in the amount of $115,095.71.
MAYOR ADAMS
None.
JAYE QUIMBY, TREASURER
Ms. Quimby advised that there is enough money to pay the bills, but she is holding the cash transfers because there is payroll next week and she doesn’t expect much to come in before then. Ms. Quimby stated that she expects to receive the second installment of property taxes by the fourth week of October. Ms. Quimby added that she moved some things around to the wrong places, but that she will get that fixed. Ms. Quimby advised the Committee that she is currently working on the August statements.
JOHN PETERSON, CHAIRMAN
Mr. Peterson inquired about the water tower updates. Mr. Fridly stated that they will be approving the change order for the Prairie Street water tower later in the evening at the Village Board meeting. Mr. Fridly explained that other issues came up when the tank was drained. Mr. Fridly added that the Wagon Wheel water tower change order was incorrect so that will be approved at a later time.
DAVE WINTERS, TRUSTEE
Mr. Winters stated that he has a few things that he needs to clarify with Chief Dickson and the attorney, but it shouldn’t affect anything.
SCOTT FRIDLY, TRUSTEE
None.
VILLAGE COLLECTOR, CORINE HUGHES
None.
